When it comes to interface design and envisioning the user experience for each of our projects, Jason is at home. However, the joys of running a small company keeps his hands in other areas, including: development support, accounting, project management and client interaction. In other words, if you are talking to CommonThread, you are probably talking to Jason.
Besides chasing two boys around, you can find Jason on the road or in the pool, training for triathlons. He recently completed his first Ironman. He also is a bit of a weather nerd...and Ben loves to give him a hard time about it.
Anthony began programming BASIC when Texas Instruments made home computers, the monitor was your television, and cassette tapes were high capacity storage devices. Yes, you could say that makes him ancient but we prefer to think of him as experienced.
He has worked at Fortune 500 companies in the banking, transportation, and utilities industries as well as a startup serving non-profits. Throughout his career he has done everything from coding to Director of Software Engineering. No matter where he works or what position he holds, his great love has always been writing beautiful and elegant software. Well, that and Kung Fu movies with bad voice overs.
After spending some time figuring out that his passions did not lie in the worlds of .NET or Java, Ben found that he could use Ruby on Rails to fully unleash his creative super powers. His drive to truly find the best solution to whatever problem he is looking at is what helped him quickly become one of the most respected Rails developers in the Southeast.
Of course, everyone with a super power has their kryptonite. So, even on the best of days, Ben's mad skills can be easily averted with cockroaches or asking him to go anywhere that would involve stepping on an airplane or elevator. Ben is a two-time Ironman and enjoys nursing a bum knee that provides him with a useful excuse for the reason he is so slow.
