Fences

Simply put, Fences is a straight-forward way to implement and manage authorization on your Rails application.

      Gridzilla

Gridzilla is an elegant Ruby on Rails implementation for HTML grids/tables that allow developers to easily connect
their data to a flexible interface that not only displays the information, but provides numerous hooks for
interaction with that data through CSS and Javascript.

Flickr-Fu is a Ruby interface that allows developers to connect to Flickr using the Flickr REST API.

      Custom Development

At CommonThread, we love what we do...and what we do is great development. We take your ideas, offer
our experience and knowledge and help you create an application that accomplishes your needs, but more
importantly accomplishes the needs of your users, making everyone successful.

      User Interface and Design

The interface is the only way that a user interacts with an application. The most beautiful code
can be rendered useless if it is matched with an interface that frustrates the user and provides them
with too much resistance in completing their task. We understand this and our focus is on the creation
        of functional and beautiful interfaces.

      Training

Working in the community to advance the knowledge and understanding of programming and its related technologies
and business practices is something that we feel a responsibility for. From conference sessions to
organizational meetings to classroom environments, CommonThread has a desire to grow the technology community
and is happy to help where needed.

      Open-Source Community

CommonThread is committed to the open-source community. We have benefitted greatly from the uncountable individuals
who have offered up their skills and time to make our lives easier and our goal is to give back to that effort as much
as we can. However, we do understand that there are significant challenges to the open-source movement from many
different sources. We want to help those individuals who need advice on strategy or approach to open-source ideas,
especially in how it relates to intellectual property and the different licenses that are available.

associations offer. From coach to player to parent, the life of a sports director is always

        Jason McCay

When it comes to interface design and envisioning the user experience for each of
our projects, Jason is at home. However, the joys of running a small company keeps
his hands in other areas, including: development support, accounting, project
management and client interaction. In other words, if you are talking to CommonThread,
you are probably talking to Jason.

Besides chasing two boys around, you can find Jason on the road or in the pool,
training for triathlons. Jason is a one-time Ironman, but will be going for
his second event soon. He also is a bit of a weather nerd...and Ben loves to give him a hard time about it.

    <!--Ben-->

        Ben Wyrosdick

After spending some time figuring out that his passions did not lie in the worlds of .NET
or Java, Ben found that he could use Ruby on Rails to fully unleash his creative super powers.
His drive to truly find the best solution to whatever problem he is looking at is what helped
him quickly become one of the most respected Rails developers in the Southeast.

Of course, everyone with a super power has their kryptonite. So, even on the best of days, Ben's
mad skills can be easily averted with cockroaches or asking him to go anywhere that would involve
stepping on an airplane or elevator. Ben is a two-time Ironman and enjoys nursing a bum knee that
provides him with a useful excuse for the reason he is so slow.

    <!--Anthony-->

        Anthony Crumley

Anthony began programming BASIC when Texas Instruments made home computers, the monitor was
your television, and cassette tapes were high capacity storage devices. Yes, you could say
that makes him ancient but we prefer to think of him as experienced.

He has worked at Fortune 500 companies in the banking, transportation, and utilities industries
as well as a startup serving non-profits. Throughout his career he has done everything from
coding to Director of Software Engineering. No matter where he works or what position he
holds, his great love has always been writing beautiful and elegant software. Well, that
and Kung Fu movies with bad voice overs.
